Banned books (and all the brouhaha that comes with it), accommodating the houseless community, and addressing the low literacy rate of too many youth in our communities are but some of the challenges public libraries are navigating in our communities. Sue Woody, Director of the Des Moines Public Library, will share the challenges libraries face and the opportunities to serve the public in meaningful ways.
