What is it like being the first openly transgender woman elected to public office in Iowa given the state of our politics in Iowa? Join us for Intersections as Aime Wichtendahl shares about her experience on the Hiawatha City Council and also as a business owner in a small town in Iowa.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Aime Wichtendahl is currently serving her second term on the Hiawatha City Council. She is the first transgender woman elected to public office in Iowa. Aime has a B.A. in journalism and political science from Mount Mercy College.
