FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4

12:00 PM

virtual

Mike Beranek

President

Iowa State Education Association

Mary Jane Cobb

Executive Director

Iowa State Education Association

We can all name them. The "sinister agenda" items being pushed by a small but vocal group of privatization zealots determined to undermine our public schools.

  • Wild and offensive accusations about teachers, librarians, and all public school personnel.
  • Consistent underfunding.
  • Public funds diverted to private choices.
  • Professional educators restricted on what and how they can teach.

What is the impact of the rhetoric and legislation on our public schools and the system that educates 92% of all Iowa school children? How are the attacks by lawmakers and others impacting our public school teachers and educators? What long-term harm to public education will be the result? Join us for Intersections/Crossroads as we discuss the real agenda of public schools, teachers, and educators as well as the longtime efforts of the radical right to privatize education.

Please register in advance for this meeting.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
