Governor Kim Reynolds and legislative Republicans passed the 6-week ban on abortion during a special session in July 2023. With the recent, devastating ruling by the Iowa Supreme Court, the right to an abortion in the state of Iowa no longer exists due to the nature of the law and its unrealistic timeframe. Mazie Stilwell will share with us the state of the state regarding reproductive rights in Iowa and our nation — and how each of us can be involved to ensure every Iowan has the right to make their own reproductive health care decisions and has access to safe and legal abortion.
